  4. Social factors and specific mental health issues, particularly depression, schizophrenia, and addictions. Life events and their subjective, contextual evaluation.   
  5. The sociology of residential institutions.   
  6. Basic principles of criminology and penology.   
  7. Stigma and prejudice.   
  8. Ethnic minorities, acculturation, and mental health.   
  9. Ethics and philosophy in psychiatry
